A sanctuary bathed in golden light, the Temple of the Morning Sun is a personal project created to explore stylized architectural storytelling, emotional lighting, and serene compositional design. Inspired by mythological motifs and Eastern sun-temple aesthetics, this project was envisioned as a place of quiet reverence and celestial alignment—where the first rays of dawn awaken the sacred geometry of stone.

This scene was an opportunity to experiment with stylized workflows and hand-crafted textures, while maintaining strong scene readability, mood, and narrative. Emphasis was placed on balancing simplicity of form with symbolic detail to evoke a timeless, almost dreamlike atmosphere.
Katerina Valma
Responsibilities & Workflow
- All aspects of modeling, texturing, UV mapping, lighting, and scene assembly were handled by Katerina Valma.
- Special focus was given to lighting direction, color grading, and environmental storytelling to convey an emotional tone without characters or VFX.
- This project represents my ongoing interest in combining visual storytelling with technical scene building, and in pushing toward a unique signature aesthetic.
